NC REALTORS State of Real Estate Conference to be held in-person and virtually on Oct. 16

October 5th, 2022

NC REALTORS will hold their annual State of Real Estate Conference on Sunday, October 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as a hybrid event at the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort in Cherokee as part of the annual NC REALTORS Convention and Expo.

The virtual and in-person event will share insights and trends about housing, there will be a team engaging with virtual attendees and presenting questions and you are encouraged to participate.

How is cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, artificial intelligence and the metaverse disrupting the real estate world? Has Covid shaped consumer demand for technology driven safer buildings and homes? Representative Moffitt will discuss any potential legislative efforts on housing affordability and availability during the 2023 NC legislative long session. He will share his ideas on things that need to be accomplished to address this issue in North Carolina.

After two years of extraordinary performance in the housing market, how or when will the market transition take place particularly after the sudden large increase in mortgage rates? Is a job cutting recession probable? How is the NC state economy faring versus other states? And all
importantly, will housing inventory be plentiful in the upcoming years?
