Twiford Funeral Homes spreads holiday joy through Operation Toy Soldier

November 15th, 2023

Since 2012, Twiford Funeral Homes has been actively involved in making Christmas a little brighter for the children of our active duty and military veterans of the Armed Forces through their impactful program, Operation Toy Soldier.

Through this initiative, over 15,000 toys have been collected and distributed by the NC National Guard Family Services to the local regional children. This incredible achievement has brought smiles and joy to countless young faces and strengthened the bond within our community.

Looking forward to Christmas 2023, Twiford Funeral Homes is determined to surpass the previous year’s success in collecting and distributing toys.

With the unwavering support of local businesses, individuals, and the incredible communities that surround us, we are confident that we can make this holiday season an even more special one for our military children.

Operation Toy Soldier is administered by Veterans Funeral Care, a 501-C not-for-profit corporation based in Clearwater, FL. They provide certification and training for funeral homes across the nation, enabling them to better serve veterans and their families.

Twiford Funeral Homes is honored to be the designated collection point for Northeastern North Carolina and the Outer Banks, proudly supporting our armed forces and their loved ones.

To participate in making this Christmas a memorable one for our local military children, we invite you to contribute by dropping off a new, unwrapped toy at one of the many convenient locations. Your kind donation will go a long way in spreading joy and gratitude to those who have sacrificed so much for our country.

Donations are being accepted now through December 15.
