The Nags Head Democratic Precinct has announced its upcoming meeting, scheduled for Thursday, November 9 at 6 p.m., will feature a presentation by Town Manager Andy Garman on the 2023 Town of Nags Head Community Survey.
The meeting will be held at Nags Head Fire Station located across from the Town Hall at 5314 S Croatan Hwy. The meeting is open to the public, welcoming all interested community members.
The survey, a vital tool in understanding the needs and concerns of the community, provided residents with the opportunity to express their views on the quality of life in Nags Head, as well as the quality of service delivery and the overall performance of local government.
It also encouraged residents and homeowners to offer feedback on what is working well and what areas require improvement, while sharing their perspectives on priorities related to ongoing projects and issues facing the town.
Mary Kelley, the Nags Head Precinct Chair, expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming meeting, Kelley said. “This meeting is a platform for open dialogue, where we can collectively address concerns and work towards the betterment of our beloved town.”
Key Findings from the 2023 Town of Nags Head Community Survey include:
• Nags Head residents expressed high satisfaction with the quality and efficiency of the town’s services.
• Town staff received praise for their courtesy, knowledge, timeliness, and responsiveness, reflecting a commitment to excellent public service.
• The survey identified regulating development, managing stormwater, and preserving the unique character of Nags Head as potential areas of focus for enhancing the community.
The Nags Head Democratic Precinct encourages all community members to attend the meeting and participate in discussions aimed at further improving the quality of life and services in the town.
