Recent data from Future Partners (formerly Destination Analysts) reports that excitement for leisure travel is nearing record levels and the number of trips that travelers are taking is increasing as well.
About 24 percent of travelers expect to take five or more leisure trips for the next year, up from 19 percent a year ago.
Excitement for travel appears to be elevated across age groups and geography. Higher income groups have slightly higher excitement than others.
