Recent data from Longwoods International and Miles Partnership suggests that travel outlook remains strong through the end of the year.
Half of Americans plan to travel within the next 90 days and 92 percent plan to travel within the next six months.
Travelers are motivated to spend time with friends and family, says the research company. Other motivations are to have new experiences, a fun time and relaxation.
While most Americans plan to travel about the same this holiday season as last (57 percent), nearly a third say they plan to travel more than last year. They also plan to spend more than last year.
