The #UniteNC Town Hall Tour, presented by Common Cause NC, was on Roanoke Island over the weekend as part of a series of stops across North Carolina.
The event was held at College of the Albemarle Dare campus, and featured a wide range of speakers on topics including legislative proposals, recent court rulings, and upcoming redistricting and elections.
Organizers say the goal of the town halls is “to build people power and hold state lawmakers accountable to the public.”
