Currituck County will receive more than $1 million from the North Carolina Department of Transportation to fund infrastructure improvements at the Currituck County Regional Airport. The county received notification of the award on August 30.
The award of $1,123,000 will fund the replacement of the airport’s fuel facility for aircraft. Self-serve AvGas and Jet-A fuels are available on a 24/7 basis.
Currituck County is in the process of receiving bids for this project and a projected completion date has not yet been established.
