Choose your fun while picking your pumpkin! This fall, Island Farm will host its 12th Annual Pumpkin Patch event, welcoming the season with a plethora of fall activities.
The Farm is seeking volunteers for the event who will assist with a variety of activities such as; food service, candle making, pumpkin sales and transport, front desk check-in, and parking.
“Pumpkin Patch is fall fun to the max”, stated Site Manager Michelle Clower, “volunteering is just as exciting as attending the event itself. Volunteers receive a free pass, a t-shirt and one pumpkin in exchange for their help and are active participants in event activities.”
Pumpkin Patch has been a staple event for the non-profit living history farm that opened to the public in 2010. The event attracts locals and visitors alike while providing family-fun activities rooted in Outer Banks history.
Island Farm is a living history site located on the north-end of Roanoke Island. It offers a trip back in time to the Outer Banks in the mid-1800s through hands-on activities, historic building tours, demonstrations, livestock interactions, and more.
Open Tuesday through Friday, Island Farm offers live historic interpretation, daily mini-programs and special weekend events. The living history site is located at 1140 N US Highway 64, north of Manteo, on Roanoke Island.
