Downtown Books will be hosting two events the week of Dare Days, a First Friday book signing and the annual Author Palooza.
The First Friday book signing will take place on June 2, 2023 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and feature Marjorie Hudson, author of Searching for Virginia Dare and her new novel Indigo Field.
Indigo Field is a multigenerational drama focused on the “boundaries of a field that contains the soul of the South, and leads us to a day of reckoning.”
The signing will take place at Downtown Books, 103 Sir Walter Raleigh Street, Manteo.
The annual Author Palooza will feature several local authors and take place on June 3, 2023 at Dare Days on the Manteo Waterfront.
The author of Corolla’s Wild Horses, Jeff Hampton, will be signing from 11 a.m to 1 p.m.
Matthew Quick, the author of We Are the Light will be signing his books from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Alicia Bessete the author of An Outer Banks Bookshop Mystery series will be signing Smile Beach Murder and Murder on Mustang Beach from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Nancy Gray will be signing her newest Outer Banks title Sport Fishing on the Outer Banks from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Following each signing extra signed copies will be available for purchase at Downtown Books Dare Days tent and in the store for those unavailable to make those times.
