The annual celebration of the start of another summer season on the Outer Banks is this weekend in downtown Manteo, as Dare Days returns Saturday and Sunday with fun and activities for the entire family.

Food trucks, live music, kid rides, games, along with
vendors showcasing their goods along the waterfront adjacent to the marina and in George Washington Creef Park on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Food trucks will be located in the Christmas Tree Parking Lot and the Pioneer Theater parking lot.

There are lots of yummy options this year: Mr. Buddy with carnival food, the Lions Club, Garden Deli & Pizzeria, Mahi Mahis, Fork et’ Me Not, and all kinds of sweet treats spread throughout. Dare County Cooperative Extension will be doing herbal drink demos along with other fun activities at the Magnolia Market if you need something to quench your thirst.

Don’t forget about the great restaurants located in downtown Manteo too

On Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. sit back and relax to the sweet sounds of a gospel concert with family and friends at the Pea Island Cookhouse on Sir Walter Raleigh Street.

Grab a drink at the old-fashioned lemonade stand and indulge in some sensational local sweets while enjoying a wide array of music provided by local churches and other groups.
