NC State Extension has announced that Currituck native Gregory Dozier is completing an Extension internship this summer with the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center.
An Extension summer intern works with Extension personnel to deliver hands-on, educational programs. Job shadowing and mentoring help interns learn about the mission and work of North Carolina Cooperative Extension.
“We are very excited to have Gregory on board” states Cameron Lowe, County Extension Director. “He is an alumni of our 4-H program and is passionate about the difference Extension can make in the lives of our citizens. We are excited not only about the opportunities we can provide Gregory, but also for the assistance and expertise he will bring to our staff and programs.”

Our internship program is another way we help prepare students for challenging and rewarding careers in food, agriculture, natural resources, and family and consumer sciences” said Dr. Richard Bonanno, Associate Dean of the NC State College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and Director of NC State Extension.
Dozier is a senior at Western Carolina University majoring in Psychology, and is a native of Currituck County.
