OBX Room in the Inn’s Spring Auction is now live! Bids can be submitted online at https://charityauction.bid/RoomInTheInn through June 8.
“The need is greater than ever to support our homeless,” said OBX Room in the Inn’s president Gail Hutchison. “The people staying in our shelter are hard-working, honest, and capable individuals who have fallen on hard times. We need everyone’s help to fulfill our mission of making sure that no one in our community has to wonder where they are going to stay the night.”
This year’s auction features many affordable and luxurious items, including everything from surf lessons, golf green fees, a chance at the lottery, dinner for two, art, and much more.
Every dollar raised will go toward supporting local OBX homeless during the harshest, coldest months of the year. Donors can contribute directly to participate in this year’s spring fundraiser by going online or mailing to P.O. Box 1354 in Kill Devil Hills.
A goal of $25,000.00 has been set to continue to provide hot meals, beds, and other services through the Room in the Inn’s shelter.
OBX Room in the Inn is a 501(c)3 nonprofit charitable organization established in 2009 that provides food and shelter to homeless adults in the Outer Banks community.
