This time last year, Alicia Bessette was introducing the cozy mystery world to Callie Padget and Cattail Island in her first Outer Banks Bookshop Mystery- Smile Beach Murder.
Since then, her book has spent several weeks on the Southern Independent Bookseller’s Alliance best-seller list, was nominated for an Edgar award, was one of Real Simple’s Best Beach Reads of 2022 and one of the top two books of the year at Downtown Books, the independent bookstore on Roanoke Island.
Her follow up- Murder on Mustang Beach- publishes May 16th but Downtown Books has been given exclusive permission from her publisher to hold the book launch for Mustang Beach a few days early in order to put her in conversation with another popular cozy mystery writer who will be visiting the Outer Banks- Lynn Cahoon!
Lynn is a NYT and USA Today best-selling author of the Tourist Trap mystery series, the Kitchen Witch series, the Farm to Fork mystery series and many more!
These two cozy authors will be having a cozy conversation in the second-floor gallery of Dare Arts on Thursday, May 11, from 6-8pm. They’ll be dishing about whodunnits, how to write a cozy, their latest books and lots more.
Alicia’s latest – Murder on Mustang Beach- will be available as well as Smile Beach Murder (now in paperback!) and several of Lynn’s latest titles including A Vacation to Die For, Four Charming Spells, Who Moved My Goat Cheese and others.
