The National Park Service is seeking bids through May 8 on a contract to stabilize and repair a maintenance building at Cape Hatteras National Seashore’s Bodie Island unit.
An informational site visit for potential bidders is scheduled for 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2, at 506 Park Service Road, Nags Head.
The Outer Banks Group has a maintenance compound on Bodie Island with two structures originally constructed circa 1959-1960.
The South Building, which is the subject of the contract, is a metal frame structure with additions at each end consisting of CMU block wall and brick exterior veneer.
