The Town of Kitty Hawk is helping to spread the word, as Everybody is invited to Wear Blue on Friday, March 31.
Take a photo of yourself, take a photo of your group, or come to the Kitty Hawk Town Hall on Friday at 11:30 a.m. and get in the photo with town staff and leaders showing support for Child Abuse Prevention Month.
There is a good chance your picture will show up on the CYP social media page. You can also post the picture yourself on social media and use the hashtag #WearBlueDay2023 and #BeAConnection.
Each year, Children and Youth Partnership for Dare County and the Dare County Department of Health and Human Services, Social Services Division come together to raise awareness about April as Child Abuse Prevention Month; a time to celebrate the good things our community does to promote healthy child development and reflect on the work that still remains.
