In conjunction with the Outer Banks Community Foundation and the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau, WOBX is launching a weekly series that will feature the nonprofits “building and shaping a Greater Outer Banks”.
Each Wednesday, a nonprofit that is serving our area will share details about the people and organizations that are working to make northeastern North Carolina and the Outer Banks a better place to live, work and play.
To kickoff the “Builders and Shapers: Nonprofits for a Greater Outer Banks” series, we are joined by Chris Sawin, Executive Director of the Outer Banks Community Foundation, and Lee Nettles, Executive Director of the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau.
They discussed the series, which is also launching at the same time as a one-of-a-kind “voluntourism” initiative by the Visitors Bureau and Dare County Tourism Board.
