Survey underway of employers, employees on workforce transportation to Outer Banks from inland counties

The Inter-County Public Transportation Authority, the Albemarle Rural Planning Organization and the North Carolina Department of Transportation Integrated Mobility Division are in the process of conducting a workforce transportation study to evaluate the feasibility of public transportation options for workers commuting to Dare County from Pasquotank, Perquimans, Chowan, Washington and Tyrrell counties.

The study will analyze the existing barriers and challenges that local employers and their employees currently encounter as well as the role transportation plays in those issues.

In addition, the study will gather information on the expected amount of participation in a workforce transportation program from both employees and their employers.

Participation in this study is critical for understanding existing transportation barriers to employment and the potential solutions to overcoming them. Please take the time to complete the short survey and share the survey with others using the links below:
