Due to the weather forecast through the weekend, College of The Albemarle’s (COA) third 2022-2023 Star Nights event has been rescheduled for March 17, with no rain date. Any schedule changes for March 17 will be communicated via email and social media.
“COA Star Nights” is a fun and educational event featuring astronomy-themed activities for all ages. View the craters of the Moon live through various telescopes! Take a guided tour of the constellations! Walk a half-mile scaled solar system. Learn about the latest findings in astronomy, including the James Webb Space Telescope.
“COA Star Nights” is a public event; all are welcome and encouraged to attend. If you are unable to participate on March 17th, we have another event on April 21st at COA – Elizabeth City. All events begin at 7:00 p.m. and end at 9:00 p.m.
“COA Star Nights” events are made possible through generous grant support from Dominion Energy. The half-mile scaled solar system is made possible through support from Lowe’s. COA is greatly appreciative of the funding support to make these events available.
For more information on these events, contact Todd Krueger at 252-335-0821 ext. 2323 or todd_krueger@albemarle.edu.
