Remember how excited you were in second grade when the book fair came to your school library and Mom gave you money to spend however you wanted because it was books?
Waverider’s Coffee Deli Pub and Downtown Books are bringing back that magical literary experience with the Outer Banks first ever Books & Brews Grown-up Book Fair!
This collaborative event is taking place on Thursday, March 16, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and will feature a special pre-St Paddy’s day menu accompanied by a carefully curated book selection.
Get ready to sip and shop tables like Books for Bros, Blind Date Books, Books You Probably Haven’t Read but Should, Books by OBX Authors, Books to Read with Your Kiddos, Zibby Books, Book Fair Books with Book in the Title and more.
Grab a cold pint or glass of wine from the Waverider’s bar and browse banned books! Book club books! LGBTQ books! Baby books!
Every attendee will receive a number of free raffle tickets upon entering– no purchase required- and each table will have a unique raffle prize.
Downtown Books staff will be on hand to help shoppers, make suggestions and since they are celebrating the eleventh anniversary of Downtown Books that same week, 11% of their sales will be donated to the Karma Kids program at The Studio, located at Pirate’s Quay across the parking lot from Waverider’s at 3022 S Croatan Highway in Nags Head.
