Ignoring his December 29, 2022, due date, Brick Eric Michael Anderson instead decided to join the world on January 1 at 5:43 a.m., thus earning the coveted title of first baby born in 2023 at The Outer Banks Hospital.
Brick weighed in at 7 lbs. 20 oz., and measured 20 inches long, and his mom and dad, Amanda Brickhouse and Christopher Anderson both of Kill Devil Hills, couldn’t be prouder of their first child.
“How cool is that to be the 2023 New Year’s baby?” said Amanda. “He gets bragging rights…and so do we!”
“Every part of our experience here was amazing,” noted Christopher. “The doctor and nurses are all very special people.”
“They made the tougher parts of the delivery bearable and were my biggest cheerleaders,” Amanda added. “They got me through. We are truly blessed to have delivered Brick here.”
