Some of the nation’s elite programs, along with many of the region’s local teams, gather this week in Kill Devil Hills for the 2022 Good Guys vs. Cancer Basketball Showcase.
What has become one of the premiere events in high school basketball, the Good Guys features games this Thursday and Friday night, and all day Saturday at the Hawks Nest at First Flight High School
All the proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society and a FFHS athlete that is in the middle of her own battle against cancer.
Nighthawks athletic director and boys basketball coach Chad Williams joined us on the WOBX Podcast to talk more about the history of the showcase, its impact on him personally, and what it means to the Outer Banks as one of the biggest offseason events of the year.
