The Currituck Outer Banks comes alive again for the holiday season on Friday and Saturday nights from 5 to 8 p.m. at Corolla Christmas Village, presented by Twiddy and Co. and the Currituck County Department of Travel and Tourism.
And the 2022 version will be even bigger and brighter.
This holiday season, Historic Corolla Village invites you to take a stroll through the sparkling wonderland that is Corolla Christmas Village, where fantastic lights, winter delights, and holiday sights are on full display.
Perfect for the entire family, this self-guided and free-admission event is sure to evoke the magic and joy of Christmas.
Join us each weekend when the village features food trucks, delectable beverages, and unique shopping opportunities at various Corolla Village merchants, including The Kind Cup coffee shop, Juice Jar, Corolla Wild Horse Fund, Island Bookstore, Currituck Beach Lighthouse Museum Shop, and Spry Creek. Restrooms will be available at the Corolla Chapel.

Whalehead’s Candlelight Christmas is also happening on select Friday and Saturday nights in November and December. Step back in time with a candlelight Christmas tour of the Whalehead mansion. The home will feature 1920’s holiday decor and customs, including a live piano performance. Tours are limited and reservations are required. Special events, such as live music and storytime with Santa, are planned for various evenings throughout the event.

Start your holiday season with a festive day in Historic Corolla Village. Join us for the inaugural Corolla Christmas Village Market where artisans will line the illuminated walkways. The featured vendors will include SeaGypsy Handcrafted, Denise Turner Jewelry, DeHaven Pottery, YellowSolStudio, This Will Be Colorful, MagJag Pottery, Rose Rast, Amy’s Candles OBX, Funktional Art, Pieces of Grace). A holiday yule log will be provided behind The Kind Cup for village goers to warm up next to. Next door, the 7th Annual Christmas Craft Village will be taking place on the grounds of Whalehead in Historic Corolla Park, with handmade treasures from local artists and vendors.

The featured vendors will include SeaGypsy Handcrafted, Denise Turner Jewelry, DeHaven Pottery, Sea Catchers, This Will Be Colorful, Blue Moth Studio, Rose Rast, Jackie Koenig Painting, Amy’s Candles OBX, Pieces of Grace, Between Elm & Oak, Karen Brown Jewelry, and Mancuso Ceramics). A holiday yule log will be provided behind The Kind Cup for village goers to warm up next to. Water’s Edge Village School will be singing Christmas Carols in front of the Corolla Christmas Village Christmas tree from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
