Wilmington-based Landmark Sotheby’s International Realty has announced that the firm will be opening a new office located in Duck. The real estate firm specializes in representing the sale of luxury, waterfront and lifestyle properties throughout coastal North Carolina.
“We are very excited to be able to bring Sotheby’s International Realty to serve clients in the Outer Banks,” remarked Landmark Sotheby’s International Realty CEO Daniel Malechuk.
“We are equally thrilled that two top-producing real estate teams, led by Heather McLay and Melanie Day, have already decided to join our firm in this new office location in the Outer Banks,” Malechuk said.
“Their teams have consistently led the region’s luxury market and have recently produced over $150 million in closed sales volume,” Malechuk said. “They are excellent additions to our firm’s culture, align strongly with our values, and are essential building blocks as we continue to add first-class agents in the Outer Banks.”
“Expanding into the Outer Banks has been a goal of our firm for a long time,” said company Founder and Principal Broker Nick Phillips. “We believe the Outer Banks real estate market holds tremendous potential for the Sotheby’s International Realty brand in the years to come.”
Currently, Landmark Sotheby’s International Realty operates five offices throughout coastal North Carolina with a focus on luxury and waterfront real estate. The new Duck office will represent the firm’s sixth office location, joining Wilmington, Southport, Ocean Isle Beach, Surf City and Morehead City.
“The coastal areas of North Carolina continue to see increased interest, and the Outer Banks are no exception,” said Philip White, president and CEO of Sotheby’s International Realty.
“Landmark Sotheby’s International Realty’s strategic expansion into an ever-popular market will further enable them to exceed the wants and needs of their clients,” White said.
“I want to congratulate Daniel, Nick, and the entire Landmark Sotheby’s International Realty team on their continued growth,” White said. “I greatly look forward to supporting them and the firm’s new location will make a fine addition to our ever-growing global network.”
“I am thrilled to be able to offer my clients the global recognition, reach, and exposure provided by the Sotheby’s International Realty brand. We will be able to offer a personalized concierge level of service, exceeding our clients’ expectations, with the most powerful and recognized real estate brand in the world,” said Heather McLay.
“Over the course of my career, I have prided myself in providing an elite level of service to my clients in every transaction,” said Melanie Day.
“I am excited to be joining Landmark, which aligns with my commitment of delivering the very highest quality in every aspect of the real estate process,” Day said. “Sotheby’s International Realty provides the best tools and resources in the industry.”
