62nd Albemarle Craftsman’s Fair runs Friday through Sunday in Elizabeth City

The 62nd Albemarle Craftsman’s Fair will be at the Museum of the Albemarle from Friday, October 28, 2022, through Sunday, October 30, 2022.

This event is one of the oldest craft fairs in North Carolina. During the fair, visitors can shop for fine artisan items and watch members of the Albemarle Craftsman’s Guild create their wares.

There will also be special craft demonstrations for the attendees to enjoy in the museum’s permanent exhibit Our Story: Life in the Albemarle.

On Friday, Ron Stevens will exhibit decoy carving from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., while Sue Stokely demonstrates egg art from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Saturday features jewelry making with Pat Eurice from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Armenian needle lace with Peggie Anderson from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Lastly, watch Anne Bradley practice the art of pottery on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Through their work, each craftsman showcases the Albemarle region’s rich artisanal traditions and heritage.

The 62nd Albemarle Craftsman’s Fair takes place on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. General Admission is $2.00 per person over the age of 12. Those under 12 years of age will be admitted free.
