The Museum of the Albemarle will host our monthly History for Lunch on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at 12 p.m. in the Gaither Auditorium. Author LeVern Davis Parker will provide the history of the Creef-Davis family and their boats. The skills and traditions of boatbuilders George Washington Creef Sr., George Washington Creef, Jr., Ralph Davis, Vern Davis, and Buddy Davis are revealed in Parker’s book with pictures throughout.
Ms. Parker’s book Our Family, Its History Their Boats: Six Generations of Boat Builders in Dare County, can be purchased in the Museum Gift Shop.
The Museum will offer the History for Lunch in-person and through Zoom. Register in advance through the Museum’s Facebook page or website to receive link to attend lecture virtually.
