Celebrate Juneteenth with events all weekend in Elizabeth City

River City Community Development Corporation and the Pasquotank County Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People invite you to celebrate freedom and family during Juneteenth weekend in Elizabeth City, June 17-19.

Business After Hours
Friday June 17th, 5pm – 7pm at Arts of the Albemarle
Learn about Juneteenth at Business After Hours, hosted by the Elizabeth City Chamber of Commerce and Arts of the Albemarle.

Juneteenth Celebration Festival
Saturday June 18th, 11am – 5pm at Waterfront Park
Join us for live entertainment and great food when Juneteenth returns to Waterfront Park. Local churches will be grilling delicious food throughout the day while the community enjoys various fun activities and entertainment, including performances from DJ Wrecka and Elizabeth City’s own Cece Green.

A variety of speakers will also share their stories about freedo, including National Geographic Explorer Tara Roberts. A health corner and children’s corner will be onsite.

This event is free to the public, so come enjoy great food, games, and fun.
Organizations interesting in being a Food Sponsor, Vendor, or a participant of the health corner are required to fill out and return these forms.

Sunday June 19th, 10am – 12pm, Charles Creek Park
